Students in the SIDR program are required to carry out their dissertation research under the supervision and guidance of a team of advisors containing members from no less than two engineering departments. All students will particpate in 1 year of supervised teaching as well. Students who graduate from the SIDR program will be uniquely prepared for careers in research, academe or industry.
Students may seek faculty advisors from any engineering department provided that research is applied to sensing, identification, diagnostics, and rehabilitation of structural systems. See list of Participating Faculty.
